Tina can and does work miracles!! I called her at 10 o'clock in the morning asking if there was any way she could arrange to have a care giver at my friend's home in a couple of hours!! Tina immediately went to the hospital to visit with my friend, in order to evaluate her needs. I was my mothers (92) full time caregiver for 4 years. She was unable to do anything unassisted. In January of 2017 she started declining and became weaker. I knew I was going to need some help in getting her out of bed, to the toilet, bathing - so I called Comfort Keepers. I had talked to them 2 years earlier but hadn't required their services at that time. Lulu set up a time that was convenient to our schedule. After meeting and talking to my mother, she matched us up with Helga. It could not have been a more perfect fit. My mother really did not want "strangers" coming into her home - but as soon as Helga walked in the door my mother bonded with her. I was so grateful. Unfortunately my mother passed away soon after I brought Helga into our home. The gift I received was being able to be my mothers daughter again during that time. Helga took care of her basic needs. She was so gentle and kind to my mom. Helga was also very intuitive while family members and friends were coming by to visit with mom. Thank you Lulu, Helga and the others at Comfort Keepers for helping us keep mom at home. It meant a lot.
I came to work for Comfort Keepers in 2012 due to my husband's need for around the clock care. The staffing and ownership has changed but service has only gotten better as a client and a worker. The clients and employees are heard which creates an awesome environment for everyone. We thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our family.
In March I came home to Anchorage to help my father find some home help so that he can get some respite from caring for my mother who has Alzheimers. Our Office Management Team Comfort Keepers is a company you’d like to associate yourself with whether it’s for personal services for a loved one or simply becoming part of the team. The office management team is made up of a variety of backgrounds. Each of the management team members has a specialty they bring to the table which allows them as a whole to eliminate most single point failures for their caregivers in the field. Our Field Team (Caregivers) The Company’s body is made up of Caregivers and Clientele. Compassion to care for another’s loved one is a very valuable skill each caregiver portrays in their day to day professionalism. Communication and consistency are elements that make the level of care more effective. Effectiveness is reassurance for our Families to be able to find peace within them that they made the right choice. I’ve worked with Comfort Keepers for 8 ½ months as a Caregiver, I am very pleased with the company at all levels. Management listens to our clients, their families, and the caregivers. The efforts put forth to ensure all Caregiver’s have the most current and proper training to utilize in the field speaks for itself every time we interact with our clients. Post Op can be difficult, but Jen kept me safe and comfortable, and laughed at my jokes.
