Comfort Keepers Provides Exceptional Senior In Home Care Services In Olympia, WA, And The Surrounding Area

Comfort Keepers Home Care serving Tacoma, WA, and the surrounding area is proud to provide professional, compassionate senior in home care to residents in our community and we are happy to help your loved one live independently and comfortably in their own home, rather than “the home”.Additionally, we know that no two seniors are exactly the same, meaning their care plans shouldn’t be either

With this in mind, Comfort Keepers offers highly customizable home care plans to fit every need! We don’t ever take a one-size-fits-all approach to our care services. This is why we always start each senior home care plan by arranging a consultation with you and your loved one—and any other involved family members. We’ll get to know your family’s unique needs/preferences and recommend a care plan to best suit them.

Our senior in home care plans can include one or more of the following services:

  • Transitional Care- Transitioning back home after an extended hospital or rehab stay can be a challenge for many seniors and their loved ones. There are doctor’s appointments to keep up with, care plans to follow, and medications to pick up to name a few! When you choose transitional care from Comfort Keepers you’ll receive assistance with all of that, along with much more, in order to help make your transition as seamless as possible.

  • End Of Life Care- A caregiver will provide support to your family in a multitude of ways including taking care of household tasks so that you can focus on spending time with your loved one, ensuring that your loved one is comfortable by providing bathing, dressing, and toileting services, and helping your family make the most of your limited time together.

  • Respite Care- If you are a primary caregiver who is feeling a little burnt out or the spouse of a senior who has spent time in the hospital or rehab you may find that respite care is just the thing you need! With Comfort Keepers, you can request temporary help for as much, or as little, time as you need. Your schedule is already complicated, so we can have a respite caregiver available when you need one.

  • Dementia Care & Alzheimer's Care- A caregiver specially trained to care for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease will assist your family by helping create a plan of action that will help your loved one be able to live in their home as safely as possible. This can include educating families about the challenges of Alzheimer’s and other dementias, round the clock care, watchdog technologies, and more.

  • Personal Care and Light Housekeeping- A caregiver will assist your loved one with a variety of personal care and household activities. This can include things such as helping with the laundry, planning, shopping for, and cooking delicious and nutritious meals, ensuring the safety of your loved one’s home by checking that common safety hazards are addressed, and more.

Why Comfort Keepers Home Care Is Different?

The core services we offer are just the beginning! As part of our commitment to the best quality care services for seniors, all of our caregivers are trained in our unique approach to care called Interactive Caregiving™. This particular style of caregiving involves providing the necessary levels of care for our clients, without making them feel as though they are giving up their independence or sense of dignity.

Part of Interactive Caregiving™ is ensuring that seniors stay active both physically and mentally and our caregivers are happy to provide assistance. Meal preparation is one of those tasks many seniors struggle with on a daily basis. Our caregivers can prepare nutritionally balanced meals for their clients based on tastes or specific medically approved diets.

While they are unable to dispense medications, caregivers can ensure your senior is taking them on time and assist them in exercise, if approved by a physician. If your loved one is no longer able to drive, our caregivers can accompany them. Whether they need to get to an important physician appointment, one of the local senior centers, or simply want to visit a friend, their caregiver can help them get there!
