Our Services

We help provide the information to work through the paperwork to help you avoid potential pension claim delays. Once you become an approved participant in a Veterans Affairs program, Comfort Keepers will provide the quality home care and companionship our veterans deserve. There are several veteran in-home care programs for which an individual may qualify:

VA Community Care Network (CCN) via TriWest (CCN)

If your VA primary care team or VA social worker authorizes in-home care through the Community Care Network (CCN), the referral can be directed to Comfort Keepers of Euless. We are credentialed with TriWest Healthcare Alliance® — the VA’s Region 4 CCN administrator for Texas — under the In Home Supportive Care (IHSC) program. Under this IHSC authorization, we deliver:

  • Personal care and ADL support — bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and supportive home care for eligible veterans.

  • Homemaker / home health aide services — housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and daily living support.

  • Respite care for family caregivers — temporary relief for family caregivers of veterans, including overnight and weekend coverage.

Under CCN-authorized care, you pay nothing out of pocket. The VA pays us directly.  Ask your primary care team at the Fort Worth VA Clinic (817-730-0000) or the Community Care office at the Dallas VAMC (214-742-8387) for a referral to Comfort Keepers of the Mid-Cities under the IHSC program.

Aid & Attendance (A&A)

Aid & Attendance is a monthly VA pension supplement paid directly to eligible wartime veterans and surviving spouses. The funds can be used to pay for Comfort Keepers services. You do NOT need to be enrolled in VA healthcare to qualify for Aid & Attendance. The 2026 net worth limit is $163,699, and your primary home is exempt from the calculation. Call (817) 282-0828 and ask for our Aid & Attendance guide, or contact the Tarrant County Veterans Service Officer at 817-884-1717 for free application help.

Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS)

The Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS) provides respite and caregiver training to family members caring for a VA-enrolled veteran — no disability rating required. Ask the Caregiver Support Coordinator at the Dallas VAMC about PGCSS respite routed to a CCN provider. Call (817) 282-0828 for help navigating the referral.

Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers(PCAFC)

The Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) pays a monthly stipend to a designated family caregiver of an eligible post-9/11 or pre-1975 veteran with a service-connected disability. Families receiving a PCAFC stipend can arrange Comfort Keepers services directly — our caregivers work alongside the family caregiver to provide additional hours, overnight coverage, or respite.

Surviving Spouses

Surviving spouses of wartime veterans may qualify for the Survivors Pension with Aid & Attendance — the same benefit, adapted for the spouse. The same 2026 net-worth limit of $163,699 applies. Funds go directly to the surviving spouse and can be used to pay for in-home care. Call (817) 282-0828 if you lost your spouse and need help understanding what you may be entitled to.
