Our Story
Comfort Keepers began in 1998 when registered nurse Kristina (Kris) Butler saw a profound need in her patients for medical care and compassionate companionship at home. Inspired by her daughter’s suggestion, “Comfort Keepers” perfectly captured their goal: helping seniors remain comfortably in their homes with dignity and joy.
Since then, Comfort Keepers has grown to over 700 offices across 12 countries. But while our brand has gone global, what makes us special remains local, especially here in Williamsport.
Local Roots & Commitment
In 2000, Andria Larson, a caring daughter and former nursing student with a background in retail management, recognized that Lycoming County needed high-quality home care. She opened Comfort Keepers of Williamsport, combining her compassion and business insight to serve families across five counties.
From the beginning, Andria and her team have been dedicated to offering practical help—with meals, errands, personal care, and more—backed by a philosophy rooted in respect, empathy, and choice.
