Up to 76 Hours of FREE Respite Care May Be Available to Your Family!
Comfort Keepers is excited to announce a new, no-cost program that may be available for your loved one. Recently, Medicare has rolled out a pilot program, called GUIDE to help provide support to families that care for loved ones with dementia.
This GUIDE pilot provides ongoing free online support for the families from vetted home health providers, as well as evaluating certain participants for a free 76 hours of in-home caregiving assistance (respite), free of charge, per year.
We are excited to announce that Comfort Keepers have partnered with one of the approved home health providers under GUIDE, PocketRN, and now is able to accept anyone who has been approved for these 76 hours of in-home respite care.
The GUIDE Program is fully covered by Medicare. There is no cost to seniors and families, no copays, ever. GUIDE eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Loved one at home with dementia (a diagnosis can be provided)
- Loved one is enrolled in Traditional Medicare Parts A & B
- Loved one lives at home or in an assisted living facility
- Is NOT currently on hospice or a skilled nursing care resident.
Note: This benefit does not take away from the benefits you may already have through other programs. VA Patients, Dually Eligible Medicaid Patients, Memory Care & Palliative Care Patients can be eligible!
