City of Bannockburn

Envisioned as a planned community of “country estates,” Bannockburn was the creation of Scottish real estate developer William Aitken. The first homes were built in 1924, and by 1929, with 30 families living in the area, the village was officially incorporated. Aitken’s plan for Bannockburn featured large lots and natural landscapes to facilitate a genteel style living, and this design has been preserved to present day. The construction of the Tri-State Tollway in the 1950s brought growth to the area, including several business parks along the village’s northern edge. By the 1970s, Bannockburn had established its own police department and in 1992 a Village Hall was added. Among those who were drawn to the village's pastoral setting was Chicago Bears Coach Mike Ditka who called Bannockburn home from 1989 until he left Chicago to coach the New Orleans Saints in 1997. Comfort Keepers has been serving seniors and families in Bannockburn since 2000.

Sometimes a little help means a lot.

Comfort Keepers provides industry-leading home care services that allow seniors in Bannockburn to continue living independently – and safely – in their own homes. For the Comfort Keepers team, our work is personal: we care for your loved one as if they were a member of our own family.

  • Interactive Caregiving
  • Respite Care
