Comfort Keepers' post-surgery care is not a substitute for medical care or hospitalization. If you require hospitalization following your operation, you should stay in the hospital rather than at home or in a hotel. So, before you make an appointment with us, consult with your surgeon to see if non-medical outpatient recovery treatment is acceptable for you.
**Your medical treatment is the responsibility of the surgeon who performed your surgery at all times and in all circumstances. Your surgeon is the only person qualified to evaluate the degree of post-operative care required following your surgery, including whether you should be discharged to a non-medical institution, such as your home or hotel accommodations, for recovery help by Comfort Keepers aftercare professionals.
Only your surgeon and his or her medical team have the ability to order and provide post-operative medical therapy, and only your surgeon has the right to order your hospitalization at any time if that is the degree of care you require.
