Paying for In-Home Care with Comfort Keepers Twin Cities

Comfort Keepers Twin Cities accepts multiple forms of payment for our private home care services

When families explore private home care, one of the most frequently asked questions is, "How much does care cost?"  The answer to this question varies by in-home care agency and the type of care that will be provided.

As you research how to pay for care at home, bear in mind that you have a variety of possibilities. Researching these possibilities in light of you or your loved one's financial circumstances is crucial for determining the most cost-effective method of paying for care. Additionally, please do not hesitate to contact us at (651) 796-2540 if you have specific questions for us about our rates and payment options.

Payment Methods

Comfort Keepers Twin Cities accepts the following payment types:

  • Private Pay/Out of Pocket – Most families pay privately for this type of care for a loved one. Paying out of pocket is common for a great deal of senior care, including assisted living. While private home care is often less expensive than facility care, charges vary according to the type of care and number of hours required. Calculating out-of-pocket expenses and devising strategies to minimize them is best done after examining all available possibilities. We encourage families interested in learning more to contact our office to discuss the components of a customized care plan and if personal care, companionship, or respite care is required.

  • Long-Term Care Insurance – Long-term care insurance can assist in paying for care expenses. Our team can help with any paperwork required to begin using this specific type of coverage for seniors who already have long-term care insurance.

  • Veterans Administration (VA) Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit – Veterans or the surviving spouse of a veteran requiring in-home care may be eligible to receive homemaker, home health aide, skilled nursing, and/or in-home respite care. Our office is contracted by local VA clinics, and VA hospitals to provide home care assistance to veterans who qualify through the VA’s process. Depending on eligibility – in home care and nursing services may be provided at no cost to the veteran who meets specified budgetary criteria and demonstrates a physical need for professional care.
