Linnea Freriks

Owner

Linnea Freriks, a devoted wife and mother, takes pride in her family's achievements. She is the spouse of Jon, co-owner of Mac Adventures LLC in Macatawa, MI, a thriving business that keeps him engaged, particularly during the bustling summer months. Linnea and Jon are navigating the transition to becoming "Empty Nesters" as their two sons, both graduates of Holland Christian High School, pursue business majors in college.

With a professional background in administrative manufacturing, Linnea draws inspiration from her entrepreneurial lineage. Her grandfathers were both successful entrepreneurs, with her father leading Van's Pattern Corporation to international recognition before its sale in 2021. Linnea's other grandfather initiated CNC Precision & Machining, a family venture in which she actively participated during her high school and college years. Guided by her father's philosophy of leading by example, Linnea cherishes the values instilled by her hard-working and community-focused parents and grandparents.

Linnea is in a meaningful role at Comfort Keepers, a company dedicated to "People Elevating People." Aligned with this value, she emphasizes a team approach that extends from caregivers in clients' homes to the leadership team. Prioritizing the well-being of the Comfort Keepers family, the organization delivers personalized in-home care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, and community needs of every client. Linnea finds fulfillment in contributing to a workplace culture that is built on values of compassion, teamwork, and joy.

In March 2002, Comfort Keepers commenced its service to the local Holland community, with Linnea acquiring the business in 2003. Over the years, she has expanded its reach with locations in Holland, St. Joseph, and Portage, MI. Linnea considers herself fortunate to play a vital role in providing quality care to the community, working alongside a team of amazing, kind-hearted individuals who share her commitment to making a positive impact.

Kathy Territory Manager Photo

Kathy Wall

Territory Manager

Kathy has worked at Comfort Keepers since 2005. She has had two loves her entire life. Friends with special needs and the elderly.

She watched her dad her entire life bring so much Joy to people every Sunday, making them feel like they were the most important person in the room. He would drive the church bus to pick up the older ladies and bring them to church and they all would sit in the second row. EVERY Sunday. 😊

The joy they had that they were not forgotten and that they were important enough to be picked up and the way they walked to the front of the church each week made her feel pride for what her dad did. The gentleman in our church shook their hand, looked them in the eye, and made them feel like he was their number one fan; she wanted to do that for people.

And she got to.  Kathy first worked in a school.  And then she found Comfort keepers and 18 years later, she hasn't looked back. There is nothing that will ever compare to being part of someone’s life on such an intimate level of care that brings you so much respect and compassion for a person. You open a dialect with each other and get to hear the stories from all parts of their lives. It is such an honor and such a gift that Kathy genuinely feels bad for people who don’t get to experience the greatest stories of the older generations out there.

Kathy started out as an aide in the home and has been blessed that her boss had seen potential in her, whom she didn’t even know existed! Kathy is the Territory Manager for the Holland, St. Joseph, and Portage Offices.

She just celebrated her 18th year with the company.

Sarah Bouman

Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Kim Melin

Director of Operations

Jennifer Weighmink

Client Care Coordinator

Jennifer worked at Holland Hospital as an x-ray technologist for 25 years prior to starting with Comfort Keepers. She enjoys working with people, especially the elderly.

Jennifer started working at Comfort Keepers as a caregiver prior to starting in the office. Working with the elderly is very rewarding as they have so much to share about their life history. Some stories are amazing, and to know what they have accomplished or lived through is astounding. It makes her heart happy knowing she can help someone in need. For some clients, the only face they see daily is that of our caregivers. The smiles we receive as we walk through the door reassure her that she is in the right place and where she is called to be.

She has had a few different roles in the office at Comfort Keepers. She started as an office coordinator before taking on the role of client care coordinator and is currently taking care of accounts receivable. Jennifer does payroll for our caregivers and does the invoicing for our clients. She has been with Comfort Keepers for six and a half years and looking forward to many more.

Comfort Keepers is different than any other job she has had. We are like a family and work together as a team.  She feels appreciated and valued as an employee. Looking forward to the many other opportunities working at Comfort Keepers and helping with the ever-growing population of elderly in our community.

Miranda Senters

Director of Sales and Client Care

Miranda started working at Comfort Keepers in 2017. She wanted to work at Comfort Keepers after being in the Skilled Nursing side for over 13 years, but she wanted to maintain the relationships with the generation she had come to love and respect. After hearing about what Comfort Keepers does in her community, she was excited about the opportunity. Miranda is the Director of Sales and Client Care and has been working in the office for 6 years now.

She loves being able to build relationships with clients and their families by inviting her into their homes to do assessments.  She is blessed that she gets to maintain those relationships the entire time they are clients and is given the opportunity to continue those relationships after dear clients have passed on with cards or visits by their loved ones.

There is no other job where you can work so in-depth with someone that you get to know the ins and outs of their daily routines, likes, and dislikes quite like you do, unless you work at Comfort Keepers.

She gets to Elevate the Human Spirit every day, and that is why she looks forward to coming to work every day.
