About Lomita

Lomita is a city in southern California’s Los Angeles County, located near the cities of Torrance and Harbor City. One of its claims-to-fame is the Lomita Railroad Museum. This museum, built in 1966, features trains and train cars from the early 1900s. It is dedicated to educating visitors about the railroad system--the history of expansion, the steam era, and the settlement of California.
