Our country's veterans have sacrificed much to protect our rights as citizens, so at Comfort Keepers we do our best to give back. We create in home care plans to meet the unique needs of our nation's aging servicemen and women. We ensure that each veteran in our care has access to the best elder care available, provided by our caring caregivers.

Even though they have served their country honorably, many veterans lack access to health care and cannot afford in-home care for themselves or aging loved ones. However, veterans and their surviving spouses may qualify for VA benefits, which typically cover at least a portion of the costs of veteran's care services. Call us today at (909) 417-0021 to get started!

What Do You Need to Qualify?

We're here to assist you if you're unsure if you or a loved one is eligible for VA benefits. To be eligible for VA benefits, you must meet the following requirements:

  • The veteran served in the military for at least 90 days.
  • At least one day of active duty has to have occurred during a conflict.
  • The veteran lacks the financial resources to pay for their own care.

If your senior parent seems eligible for VA benefits, Comfort Keepers can assist them in gathering the appropriate papers to submit with their application. We can also assist you in filling out the VA paperwork packet and locating an organization that can aid you with the procedure.

Required documents will usually consist of the following:

  • Certificate of Discharge
  • Any past marriage's marriage certificate and/or divorce documents (s)
  • A veteran's death certificate, if appropriate
  • The veteran's and his or her spouse's social security numbers
  • Personal financial papers and records
