Comfort Keepers In-Home Care in Citrus Heights, California.

Referring to Comfort Keepers®

The Sacramento metro area is rich with high-quality health care options, making the region an extremely attractive place for seniors to age in place.  We find that many of the seniors we've taken care of are originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, and they've chosen to spend their retirement years enjoying the abundant activities, sunny and mild weather, and ideal geographical location midway between the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe.

There are 9 major hospitals, dozens of home health care agencies, over 50 skilled nursing facilities/rehabilitation centers, dozens of independent living communities, and hordes of quality professional senior advisors, all of whom demonstrate a professional, caring approach to providing care for seniors. Many of these facilities and individuals have come to appreciate and trust Comfort Keepers for our high standards of quality in-home care.  We've developed deep relationships with the majority of hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and independent living communities throughout the Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado County areas.  What this means for our clients is that we can ensure a strong "continuum of care;" that is, you can be assured that your loved one will be cared for at home in the same manner in which he or she was cared for prior to discharge.

Healthcare professionals rely on us and can refer patients and clients with confidence to the personal, in-home attention our compassionate caregivers—our Comfort Keepers. Also, our caregivers follow doctors' orders -- we make sure to complement the prescribed "plan of care" that our clients' primary care physician has outlined.  In most cases, we build on that plan of care, by preparing special meals per the client's recommended diet, accompanying the client to follow-up doctors' appointments, and journaling the day-to-day activities of the client.  Many of our clients -- and their physicians -- appreciate the journal, because it allows the doctor to see what's happening with the client on a daily basis.  In fact, we impress upon primary care physicians that our caregivers are actually in the best position to provide information on a client's well-being than just about anyone in the family, for the simple reason that the caregiver likely spends more time with the client than just about anyone in the family.
