Veterans Affairs National Provider Badge

Did you know that the VA has a Community Care Network (CCN) program?

This program allows veterans to receive health care services from approved community providers. Comfort Keepers is proud to announce that they are a VA certified provider and member of the Veteran Affairs Community Care Network.

The VA's Community Care Network program has been in effect for a few years now, and it has been providing veterans with much-needed care. This program allows veterans to receive care from community providers instead of relying on the VA for all their health needs. Let's take a closer look at how this program works and what benefits it provides veterans.

VA Community Care Network badgeThe VA's Community Care Network program has been in effect for a few years now, and it has been providing veterans with much-needed care. This program allows veterans to receive care from community providers instead of relying on the VA for all their health needs. Let's take a closer look at how this program works and what benefits it provides veterans.

The Community Care Network program was created in response to the long wait times that veterans were facing when trying to receive care from the VA. Under this program, veterans can receive care from community providers who are contracted with the VA. This means that veterans can get the care they need in a timely manner, without having to wait for an appointment at the VA.

Another benefit of the Community Care Network is that it gives veterans more choice in their care. Veterans can choose to see a primary care provider, specialist, or mental health provider who is part of the network. This allows veterans to find a provider who best meets their needs.

The Community Care Network covers a substantial set of services for all eligible Veterans including geriatric care. The geriatric care covered includes non-institutional geriatric evaluation(s), adult day care (also non-institutional), respite care and Home Healthcare (skilled and unskilled). For a more exhaustive list of the benefits available to Veterans under this program please check out the Veterans Administration Community Care Network page.

Another huge benefit of the Community Care Network (CCN) is that it is also formulated to help reduce the travel time for veterans when they go to a care provider or if they need care at home.

Overall, the Community Care Network provides many benefits to veterans. If you are a veteran in need of care, be sure to ask your local VA about this program.

Comfort Keepers also recognizes that sometimes the CCN is not the perfect fit for a veteran we also provide services to veterans in the Tri-Cities and beyond under the VA Aid and Attendance program. If you need some assistance under this program or just have a few questions about how this program works, we are extremely familiar with what the VA requires for a veteran to qualify. Just call our office and ask to speak to a client care coordinator and we can help you review your care options as a United States veteran.
