That’s why we were thrilled to host a vibrant community celebration in honor of the National Day of Joy, a special initiative created by Comfort Keepers to promote happiness, connection, and the importance of living a joyful life at any age.
What is the National Day of Joy?
The National Day of Joy, celebrated annually on the last Wednesday of June, was founded by Comfort Keepers to remind people everywhere that joy is essential to the human spirit—especially for older adults. In our busy lives, it's easy to overlook the small, meaningful moments that bring us happiness. This day is a call to pause, connect, and celebrate what truly matters.
Our Day of Joy: A Free Carnival for the Community
This year, our Fort Worth team brought the spirit of the National Day of Joy to life with a free outdoor carnival at the Benbrook YMCA—and we were thrilled to welcome over 200 guests from across the community! Seniors, families, caregivers, and neighbors all came together to enjoy a joyful afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and celebration.
Held annually on the last Wednesday of June, the National Day of Joy reminds us all to prioritize happiness and human connection—especially for seniors. Next year’s celebration will take place on June 24, 2026, and we’re already looking forward to making it even bigger and better!
From nostalgic games and colorful décor to lively music and classic carnival snacks, every detail was thoughtfully planned to spark smiles and meaningful moments.
