Frequently Asked Questions About our Elder Care Services in Spartanburg and Boiling Springs, SC

Answers to commonly asked questions about our elder care services in Spartanburg, Boiling Springs, Moore, and the surrounding areas of South Carolina

What type of elder care services are offered by Comfort Keepers?

Comfort Keepers provides its clients with a wide spectrum of services, including respite care, in home care, end-of-life care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, and transitioning elder care. We also offer interactive caregiving, which is a unique model designed to encourage the client's engagement in their own care plan.

Some of our home health agencies' most requested services include light housekeeping, assistance with personal care, meal preparation, companionship, and incidental transportation. You can further customize all of our home care services in order to meet the specific needs of your senior loved one.

How are Comfort Keepers selected?

Before joining the team at Comfort Keepers, caregivers first have to go through a detailed screening process, which includes thorough reference and background checks. After the screening process is complete, we interview prospective caregivers and invite individuals with the requested skills and knowledge to join our professional team. Before they are allowed to provide services, our new employees have to complete a training program to ensure their capacity to provide the optimal level of care to our clients. Each of our caregivers also needs to have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.

How much does home care cost?

The exact cost is very difficult to determine in advance since it depends on a wide variety of factors, including the level and type of care needed. You can contact our office for further information on our rates. Our professional care representatives can also provide information regarding our current range of financing options.

Are elder care services available 24/7?

Yes, our nationally recognized services are available 24/7/365.

Does Comfort Keepers offer services to seniors living in nursing homes or assisted living communities?

Yes, Comfort Keepers also provides its services to seniors in nursing homes and similar facilities.

Do you develop personalized care plans? Can they be modified?

Comfort Keepers' care plans are fully customizable and can be modified to fit the particular client's health, living conditions, personal preferences, and numerous other factors. The original care plan can also be modified at any given moment. Comfort Keepers will also review its care plans every six months and make necessary adjustments to make sure every client is receiving adequate care at all times.

Can I choose my caregiver?

Comfort Keepers matches its caregivers with clients based on mutual interests and personality traits. If the client is not satisfied with our choice, we can always provide a more appropriate caregiver.

What if my caregiver is sick or on vacation?

Comfort Keepers has many caring and dedicated caregivers. If one of them is absent from work, you will receive an equally skilled replacement chosen personally by our care coordinator.

What are ADLs and IADLs?

Activities of daily living (ADLs) include regular everyday activities like bathing and toileting. Instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)  involve meal preparation, grocery shopping, transportation, light housekeeping, and many more.
