Comfort Keepers Wins Franchise Satisfaction Award

Leading senior care franchise lands in Top 50 for franchisee satisfaction

DAYTON, Ohio (April 10, 2006) - CK Franchising, Inc.,  an international franchisor that offers companionship and other non-medical services primarily for seniors under the COMFORT KEEPERS® brand, was recently appointed a Top 50 franchisor in a survey conducted by Franchise Business Review.

Franchise Business Review conducted the survey to give those considering a franchise investment feedback from current franchisees.  The publication invited all Comfort Keepers franchisees to participate in an independent review. Out of approximately 365 Comfort Keepers franchisees, 173 elected to participate in this process (approximately 48 percent).  The owners were asked over 40 questions about their franchise business.

Overall, the owners gave Comfort Keepers four stars with 84 percent stating a high level of respect for the company and 90 percent agreeing that Comfort Keepers encourages honesty and a high standard of ethics.  Additionally, 88 percent of owners said that the company's ongoing support was good to excellent and 91 percent were happy with the quality of Comfort Keepers' service offerings.

"This is a significant vote of confidence from our owner/operators," said Jeff Bevis, executive vice president of franchise development for Comfort Keepers.  "We have developed a franchise model that works very well in the non-medical, in-home care industry.  It allows Comfort Keepers owners the opportunity to provide services that allow older adults to live happy, fulfilling lives in the comfort of their own homes

"Comfort Keepers are a solution to a growing cultural concern surrounding quality care for seniors and allowing them to stay in their local communities.  There are not too many industries that hold the potential for business success and the intrinsic reward of providing care for seniors."

Comfort Keepers caregivers provide non-medical services such as companionship, light housekeeping, dressing and grooming guidance, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and incidental transportation services.

Comfort Keepers offices employ dependable, caring and friendly staff, each of whom has been carefully screened, bonded and insured by Workers' Compensation for the peace of mind of clients and their families.  Services may vary by location based on client needs and local practices.

In addition to providing their services to seniors, Comfort Keepers provides much-needed help to the baby boomers who are struggling to take care of their aging parents.  As a result of changing demographics including an aging population and familial time and distance constraints, Comfort Keepers can be there to lend a helping hand.

Operating as a franchisor since 1999, Comfort Keepers has 498 U.S. units, 22 Canadian units and recently opened a master franchise in Ireland.
