Meet Sam Aisawa, Owner of Comfort Keepers of Chisago City
Sam Aisawa is the owner of Comfort Keepers® of Chisago City, a locally operated in-home care provider serving seniors, veterans, and families throughout Chisago City, Lindstrom, Center City, Wyoming, North Branch, Forest Lake, Cambridge, and nearby Minnesota communities.
Her career in senior care began as a caregiver and has grown through more than a decade of experience in client care, caregiver support, home care operations, and organizational leadership.
Who Owns Comfort Keepers of Chisago City?
Sam Aisawa owns the Comfort Keepers offices serving Chisago City, Anoka, White Bear Lake, and surrounding communities in the northern Twin Cities region.
Sam became the owner of the local Comfort Keepers organization on March 9, 2026. Today, she works closely with caregivers, nurses, Client Care Coordinators, and operational leaders to provide dependable, personalized in-home care.
Her leadership is grounded in compassion, accountability, and a firsthand understanding of the challenges families face when a parent, spouse, or other loved one needs additional support.
How Did Sam Begin Her Career in Senior Care?
Sam joined Comfort Keepers in 2013 as a part-time caregiver while also helping care for her grandmother.
These experiences gave her a personal understanding of the importance of dependable care, familiar routines, respectful assistance, and clear communication with families. They also strengthened her commitment to helping older adults remain safe, independent, and connected in their own homes.
Sam understands that home care affects more than the person receiving assistance. It can also provide family caregivers with reassurance, guidance, and time to manage their other responsibilities.
What Is Sam’s Professional Background?
After earning her degree in Health Information Technology, Sam joined the Comfort Keepers administrative team in 2016.
Working closely with local founder Tom Berard, she gained hands-on experience in:
- Client care coordination
- Caregiver support and development
- Home care operations
- Business development
- Scheduling and service delivery
- Quality improvement
- Organizational leadership
Sam continued to accept greater leadership responsibilities as the organization grew. In 2022, she was named President of the Anoka and White Bear Lake offices. She later became the owner of the local Comfort Keepers organization and now leads its continued growth, including the Chisago City office.
What Is Sam’s Connection to the Chisago Lakes Community?
As owner of Comfort Keepers of Chisago City, Sam leads a local care team serving older adults and families throughout the Chisago Lakes area and nearby communities.
The Chisago City office provides personalized in-home care for seniors, veterans, people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, adults recovering after hospitalization, and families who need respite or ongoing caregiving support.
Sam’s goal is to ensure that families in Chisago City and surrounding communities have access to compassionate caregivers, responsive local support, and care plans developed around each client’s individual needs.
What Is Sam’s Approach to In-Home Senior Care?
Sam believes effective home care begins by listening to the client and family.
Every person has different needs, routines, preferences, abilities, and family circumstances. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, the Comfort Keepers team develops personalized care plans that can change as the client’s situation changes.
Under Sam’s leadership, the local team focuses on:
- Treating every client with dignity and respect
- Supporting safety and independence at home
- Communicating clearly with clients and families
- Selecting and supporting compassionate caregivers
- Responding when a client’s needs change
- Encouraging meaningful activity and social connection
- Giving families greater confidence and peace of mind
Continuing the Comfort Keepers Mission in Chisago City
Sam is proud to continue the local Comfort Keepers mission of helping older adults live safely, independently, and joyfully at home.
Her progression from caregiver to owner shapes how she leads the organization today. She understands the responsibilities placed on caregivers, the concerns families experience, and the importance of earning a client’s trust inside the home.
Through the Comfort Keepers office in Chisago City, Sam and her team are committed to providing personalized in-home care that supports the whole person—not only their daily needs, but also their comfort, relationships, choices, and quality of life.
