All of our caregivers at Comfort Keepers of Holland have completed a comprehensive 16-course, person-centered certification program through the Care Academy—an initiative recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association. This ensures that our team members understand the complexities of memory loss and are trained to respond with both empathy and skill.
In addition to our caregivers, our Client Care Team also completes the same rigorous training, along with the Alzheimer’s Association’s essentiALZ® certification, which focuses on practical, real-world strategies for supporting individuals with dementia. This well-rounded education equips our team with a deep understanding of the progression of dementia, effective communication techniques, and approaches for managing behavioral changes in a respectful and supportive way.
