Comfort Keepers Companion Care Provides Companionship for Seniors in Wichita, KS

Comfort Keepers incorporates companion care into all in-home elderly care plans.

While independent seniors may be able to care for themselves mostly independently, assistance from in-home elderly care providers can give seniors much-needed companionship. A companion care provider can help your senior mom or dad with chores and activities around their home. The conversation, company, and security a senior caregiver provides can keep your loved one safe in their home longer.

In-home elderly care involves more than tending to physical needs. Mental wellness and socialization are important aspects of a comprehensive companion care plan. Our Comfort Keepers provide seniors companionship through a conversation when they sit down to share a meal or spend time around the house. Call (316) 742-5350 or click below for more information.

Meal Preparation

A nutritious diet is critical to leading a healthy life. At Comfort Keepers, caregivers are prepared to make meals based on their client’s preferences and help them get the proper nutrition. If a client enjoys cooking and baking, a caregiver can work in tandem with them during meal preparation as their abilities permit.

Laundry & Light Housekeeping

Our Comfort Keepers will tend to the laundry at their clients’ homes or a laundry facility and wash dry, fold, iron, and put clothes away. Often seniors can and want to join their caregivers in housework, which can help them feel useful. These tasks include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens.

Errands and Transportation

Comfort Keepers can run errands such as picking up prescriptions or going to the post office. When running these errands, a client may choose to stay home or come along and help with the shopping, offering them a great way to stay active and engaged within the community. Our Comfort Keepers are also happy to provide incidental transportation for clients, allowing them the freedom to go shopping, get their hair done, get to medical appointments, or do other activities.

Medication Reminders

Although Comfort Keepers cannot administer medications, our caregivers can help ensure that medications are taken as prescribed. Our Comfort Keepers will happily assist with opening medication containers, reading prescription labels, and providing reminders when it has come time to take a dose.

24-Hour Home Care

Depending on your needs, Comfort Keepers caregivers can provide companion care for just a few hours a week or around-the-clock, 24-hour daycare. Through our 24-hour care, a team of Comfort Keepers coordinates caregiving responsibilities in shifts, providing full-time coverage. This specific end-of-life care offering presents clients and their families with peace of mind in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
