Comfort Keepers Owner Helps Families Navigate The Long-Term Care System in Her New Book

Lezlie Snoozy, owner of Comfort Keepers in Salem, OR, provides a helpful three-part plan for families

If your loved one is over the age of 65, there is a large chance that they will require some form of long-term care. Finding the right care solution for them can be time-consuming, stressful, and overwhelming. Lezlie Snoozy, the owner of Comfort Keepers in Salem, OR, has addressed these problems in her new book, “Is It Time? 3 Steps to a Successful Journey with Aging Loved Ones”. Here, she offers important information you will need to easily navigate the long-term care system and make the best decision for your loved one.

Through stories of the families who have received care from Lezlie’s companies, she has managed to show the readers the difference in experiences when decisions about the care are made ahead of time instead of when the crisis happens.

In the book “Is It Time? 3 Steps to a Successful Journey with Aging Loved Ones” Lezlie explains common terms used in the senior care industry and teaches planning strategies. How can you pay for long-term care services? How do you help your loved one accept support and care? What is the difference between home health care and care delivered in a nursing home or an assisted living facility? These are just some of the questions that have been answered in “Is It Time?”. The goal of the book is to help families with aging loved ones find a way to contribute to the highest quality of life for their senior members and themselves.

Lezlie Snoozy has over two decades of experience in senior care. She has delivered care in nursing homes, assisted living facilities as well as provided home care. In 2003 she opened her first home care company and founded an assisted living five years later. Today, she is the owner and manager of senior care businesses in three states. This owner of the SD Enterprising Woman Award was selected as the first female board chair of assisted living and home care boards. Lezlie lives with her husband and four children in South Dakota.
