How Does Live-In Senior Care Work?
With “live-in” caregiving, caregivers typically work between 3 to 4 days each week while providing care in the client’s home. Live-in caregivers must be provided with a place to sleep and allowed an 8-hour period to sleep at night. While their sleep may be disrupted to provide care throughout the night, they need at least 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep. In addition, they will need a one-hour meal break 3 times a day.
