Why Comfort Keepers® of Flemington, NJ?
Comprehensive home care services and customized care plans to support independent living for seniors and other adults.
Comfort Keepers® of Flemington, NJ has been providing home care services since February 27, 2006. We believe there is nothing more important than helping people live independently, safely and happily in the comfort of their home, for as long as possible. We work closely with families to customize a plan that provides a perfect balance of services, from as little as three hours a visit to full-time, 24/7 around-the-clock home care.
More importantly, we will treat your loved one with respect and dignity, as if they were a member of our own family.
For many seniors, living at home for long as possible is a priority. But the natural aging process can make that difficult over time. At Comfort Keepers® of Flemington, we provide home care services that can help prolong independent living. Our Interactive Caregiving™ approach transforms day-to-day caregiving into opportunities for meaningful interactions. This includes conversation and activities that engage and enrich the physical, mental, social, and emotional lives of seniors. The goal is to improve the quality of life and help seniors maintain their independence for as long as possible. Comfort Keepers® still delivers the essential in-home care services such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, companionship, bathing, grooming and feeding, but it is Interactive Caregiving™ that caregivers and clients believe makes all the difference.

We also work closely with our fellow Comfort Keepers® peers to insure that consistent home care can be provided throughout New Jersey, around the country and around the world.

Local, Professional and Trained Caregivers:
There are plenty of people who can become a caregiver, however; only a select few can achieve the status of becoming a Comfort Keeper®.
We believe your loved one deserves nothing less than the most compassionate, professional, and educated caregiver for their home care needs. Our Comfort Keepers® are more than just caregivers. In fact, only 1 in 10 of all caregivers who contact us for employment actually becomes a Comfort Keeper®. Our rigorous employment process is only the beginning. Our extensive background investigation includes federal, state and county background checks along with a motor vehicle check. Certified Home Health Aides are fingerprinted as required by New Jersey's Division of Consumer Affairs. In addition, random drug tests are required. All screenings are repeated throughout the year. Comfort Keepers® requires and verifies three professional references. Finally, Comfort Keepers® requires a minimum of two face to face interviews for all prospective employees.
Before any Comfort Keeper® is assigned a client, they are required to undergo our thorough caregiver training that is second to none. After the initial training is complete all Comfort Keepers® are then trained on Interactive Caregiving™. Comfort Keepers® has formalized and developed this program and we believe it is a critical component to our home care services. An interactive caregiver understands the importance of engaging with seniors in physical, mental and social activities thereby cultivating mental vitality and emotional well-being.
To ensure that our unsurpassed quality of home care is maintained over the span of a Comfort Keeper’s® employment, we conduct annual caregiving skill evaluations. In addition, ongoing training for all Comfort Keepers® is required throughout the year. The training is conducted in our office, online and in the field including onsite visits by our Director of Nursing and Client Care Coordinators.
We hold our employees to the highest possible competency standards, however; if we don’t sense a warm, loving heart, they will not be employed by Comfort Keepers®. We only accept the most caring, kind and compassionate people to work for our organization. There are plenty of people who can become a caregiver; only a select few can achieve the status of becoming a Comfort Keeper®.
All Comfort Keepers® are employees and not independent contractors. This offers the ultimate peace of mind and protection for you and your loved one. Families don't realize the potentially liabilities and costs they take on by hiring a private caregiver. Comfort Keepers® eliminates the worries of possible unforeseen tax penalties and legal fees that can arise by hiring a private caregiver. Comfort Keepers® is responsible for payroll taxes and all federal, state and local taxes including the required deductions such as FICA, Medicare, Social Security, and Unemployment Taxes. Additionally, Comfort Keepers® maintains a comprehensive insurance portfolio including professional liability insurance, general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance. All Comfort Keepers® are bonded and insured. In addition, our Comfort Keepers® are insured to drive clients.
Consistency of home care is our goal. It can be frustrating having a revolving door of caregivers. We understand having the same caregivers is a key to having a good relationship. Our Comfort Keepers® are long-term. Comfort Keepers® has been in Flemington since 2006. We are proud and honored to have so many individuals who have made a career out of caring for you and your loved one as a Comfort Keeper®. We believe our comprehensive approach to hiring and employing caregivers is the best in the home care industry. It would be an honor to show you the Comfort Keepers® way!
