In Home Care in Skillman, New Jersey

Learn more about the expert senior home care for independent living offered by Comfort Keepers® of Flemington, NJ.

Comfort Keepers® of Flemington, NJ has been offering in-home care services for families in Skillman, NJ and all of Somerset County since 2006. Our professional caregivers provide personal care and companion care services that help seniors remain independent and in the comfort of their home, for as long as possible. At Comfort Keepers®, we believe that caring for our clients involves far more than coming to their homes and taking care of a few chores- we believe it means providing for your loved one's physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Our dedicated caregivers, transform day-to-day home care services into opportunities for meaningful conversation and activities that engage and enrich the lives of seniors physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. We call this Interactive Caregiving™.

Watching an elderly loved one struggle to accomplish simple daily tasks such as bathing or preparing a nutritious meal can be difficult, especially when you know you don't have enough time in the day to give them the help they need. At the same time choosing elderly care services your loved one won't object to can be even more challenging. After all, no one likes to admit they need help, it goes against their sense of independence. At Comfort Keepers®  our caregivers offer Interactive Caregiving™, which strives to provide a more caring and loving form of senior care.

The goal is to improve the quality of life and help seniors to maintain their independence for as long as possible. Examples of Interactive Caregiving™ include walks in the park or around the neighborhood, working together on hobbies and puzzles, playing word games, reading, trips to the community center and the most important exercise of all- simple conversation. Comfort Keepers® still delivers the essential home care services such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, companionship, bathing, grooming and feeding; but it is Interactive Caregiving™ that caregivers and clients believe makes all the difference.

Our highly skilled caregivers can also help with homemaking tasks, bathing, grooming, feeding, medication reminders, oral hygiene care, incontinence care, mobility assistance, medication reminders and transportation needs. We work closely with families to customize a plan that provides a perfect balance of services, from as little as three hours of senior care assistance per visit to full-time, 24/7 around-the-clock home care. More importantly, we will treat your loved one with respect and dignity, as if they were a member of our own family.

About Skillman, NJ:

Skillman is an unincorporated community located within Montgomery Township. Skillman is named after the Skillman family. In 1729, Thomas Skillman ventured westward from Brooklyn, buying 500 acres of farmland on the Millstone River, near the village of Rocky Hill, for his sons, Jan and Isaac. That purchase was the Skillman family's entry into Montgomery. Today, it is home to Johnson & Johnson's Consumer Products Division.
