Professional, organized, compassionate and reliable. These are the first four adjectives that come to mind when I think back over our past year+ of having our parents as clients of Comfort Keepers. The caregivers always arrived on time and the billing was always accurate...small things to some but important when you are trying to schedule for parents who need an extra hand. I don't know how we would've managed without Comfort Keepers.
All of the caregivers from Comfort Keepers are doing a superior job helping out with our mother. They are extremely patient and supportive when she is having a ‘bad’ day and can’t remember things due to age related memory issues.
I have been using Comfort Keepers for over 3 years for my Mom who is suffering from dementia. The staff, from direct care to office/schedulers have been very respectful of my sometimes demanding requests. Comfort Keepers is accommodating to your needs. The day an incident occurred and I knew my Mom wasn't safe alone, they had me with 24/7 caregivers within an hours time. I would recommend this agency to anyone in need of companionship to one on one care.
I am grateful for all the ladies from Comfort Keepers who keep my mother company. They are very patient with her and make an extra effort to make sure she gets out for walks whenever possible. They also take her to the library and to the local stores. This I must mention is not an easy task as my mother suffers from a lot or arthritis so they have to be very careful with her especially in winter. Plus she is very slow so I thoroughly appreciate the ladies as they are so kind and amazingly helpful. My mother still loves to cook and bake but since she cannot use her right arm any more, the ladies have been helping her cook. They are in fact learning how to cook Indian food for her! That is so kind of them. They also take the time to sit and eat with her and this is so important as she lives alone. If there is extra time left after they have taken her around town, cooked, and cleaned, they play scrabble with her. Comfort Keepers has made it possible for my mother to stay where she is happy in her own little home and they have helped me a lot by giving me time for my own life.
Comfort Keepers has provided such wonderful help with caring for my mom, allowing us to feel comfortable with her continuing to live in her home by herself even after my dad passed away. Being able to count on Comfort Keepers as part of her "support system" has meant that she has been able to maintain her independence!
