Senior Transportation

**Please note that Comfort Keepers Twin Cities does not provide general fleet transportation services or one-time or on-call transportation requests. Transportation services are available for clients to be arranged at any time during normal shift coverage with a Caregiver.**

For many seniors who live alone, getting around is something that quickly becomes a major hurdle. Whether a senior no longer has a driver’s license or just doesn’t feel comfortable driving, Comfort Keepers caregivers are able to drive clients where they need to go. Caregivers can also drive the client's vehicle which may be more comfortable and familiar.

Transportation services for clients may include:

• Errands, groceries, and shopping
• Doctors’ visits and appointments
• Personal care appointments
• Family parties and events
• Social calendar events
• Hospital visits for friends or family
• Community meeting or neighborhood meetup
• Museum or local sightseeing

Uber Health Partnership

In addition to our caregivers, Comfort Keepers Twin Cities uses Uber Health to provide senior transportation on demand. Uber Health is a HIPAA compliant technology solution that has helped tens of thousands of patients and caregivers get to and from care. Rides through Uber Health are coordinated by the Comfort Keepers office to simplify the experience for seniors.

Mental Health and Safety

Social isolation can be detrimental to mental health and can have effects on someone’s physical wellbeing. By providing reliable, friendly rides for seniors, our caregivers can help clients maintain a positive quality of life and help seniors stay connected with friends and loved ones.
