In-Home Care and Senior Services in South Shore, MA

Helping seniors and other adults live independent, safe, and healthy lives in the comfort of their own homes since 2002

in home health care

In 2002 Comfort Keepers opened its first office in Plymouth after realizing the need for distinctive in-home care in the South Shore area. Since then, we've devoted ourselves to providing the highest level of care possible and ensuring that our caregivers are the most skilled and compassionate professionals in the area.

All new caregivers receive a complete orientation during which the values of being a Comfort Keeper, compassion, professionalism, and attention to the smallest of details are instilled that day and reinforced throughout their career. We value the contributions of each of our caregivers and provide recognition programs to reward their exceptional accomplishments.

Interactive Caregiving

‘Interactive Caregiving’ is a way of making everyday activities interesting, even exciting.  It starts with their participation in the development of their own personal Plan of Care. We make sure our clients are as involved as possible in the care that’s being provided and encourage their participation in the development of their own Plan of Care, which might involve needing assistance with Homemaking and Companionship services to more personal care needed for bathing and changing.

This care can be scheduled in specific time frames throughout the day or night and can also be provided around the clock. All of our clients enjoy the benefits of having their services closely supervised by our Client Care Coordinator who monitors the care needed and how it is being delivered by our Comfort Keepers in the field.

Staying Connected

The South Shore provides plenty of opportunities for clients to be engaged and active outdoors. A typical day for a client living in the Plymouth area would involve taking in some of the historic sites that Plymouth has to offer, like Ellisville Harbor State Park, Plymouth Rock, or the Mayflower II, pictured above.

In addition to recreational activities, clients living at Stafford Hill Assisted Living, Plymouth Rehab, or the Life Care Center in Plymouth enjoy the comfort of knowing their Comfort Keepers caregivers are able to provide transportation and companionship to medical appointments and other facilities such as Beth Israel Deaconess hospital, formerly known as Jordan Hospital.

Community Involvement

By being active members of the Friends of the Plymouth Council on Aging, the fundraising arm of the COA, Comfort Keepers has sponsored events that have raised thousands of dollars each year to benefit the area’s senior population. Keeping ourselves informed and connected in the community is important if we are to deliver the best possible care to the clients living in the area.
