September is World Alzheimer's Month, an international campaign started by Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding dementia.

Professionals in our industry encounter this illness daily, so providing compassionate care and encouraging awareness is critical to our services. The number of people being diagnosed with dementia continues to increase, and science shows that everyone will be affected by the disease in some way, shape or form during their lives. It's important for those in our community to continue to education themselves about this illness.
