Comfort Keepers started the National Day of Joy in 2019, because our decades of helping seniors live safely and independently at home showed us that a daily dose of joy can work wonders.
Finding joy in the simplest everyday moments is scientifically proven to improve and maintain overall wellness, including physical and mental health — which we thought was worth celebrating!
Want to celebrate with us? Every year, on the last Wednesday of June, simply take some time and do something that brings joy to yourself of others. Reach out to a friend you haven’t seen in a while, bake a treat for your loved one, watch your favorite movie, or take some time for yourself. Whatever it is, we hope it’s just the beginning of sprinkling in a daily dose of joy for you and the people you care about.
