We are passionate about helping seniors and their families live happier, healthier lives. Our home caregivers, known as Comfort Keepers, provide consistent, compassionate care services to each individual. We only hire people who truly love caring for others. Each of our home caregivers is given extensive training regarding in home care, and caregivers are selected to work with seniors that are a good fit. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to in home care, and our hiring practices reflect that.
All of our Comfort Keepers have passed extensive background checks and are continuously educating themselves on the care industry. Our home caregivers are insured, bonded, and covered by workers’ compensation insurance in order to protect our clients and their families. Our training process emphasizes respect and maintaining independence for your loved ones.
Alan White opened the Comfort Keepers office almost 17 years ago with a vision of providing exceptional senior care services to North Georgia. Since then Comfort Keepers has assisted thousands of North Georgia families who wished to live independently at home. A native North Georgian and graduate of the University of Georgia, Alan is a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors.
Jennifer Jack-Wunder, LPN
Owner, Director of Operations
Jennifer Jack-Wunder began working in health care while still a teenager. After a varied career in hospitality management she decided to follow her heart and returned to school for her nursing degree. She has worked in hospice and home health care, as well as hospital and skilled nursing facility roles. Today she continues to live her passion for lifelong learning and serving others. She is a tireless advocate for seniors as well as a coach, mentor and cheerleader for our staff.
Director, Client Care Services
After putting her nursing studies on hold to raise a family of five children, Leah is pleased to be back on the career path of her dreams. She brings experience in healthcare, hospitality management and customer service to her role as lead care coordinator across the many North Georgia counties we serve.
Client Care Coordinator
Emily’s previous work in hospital settings provides a strong foundation for her new role in client care with us. She travels to client homes to ensure they’re receiving the best care possible. Moreover, she takes time to get to know her clients and hear their stories. “It's the best part of my job!” she says.
Since joining us in 2017 as a caregiver, Betsy has been providing excellent service to our clients. In her role as scheduler, she stays busy meeting the demand for round-the-clock schedules customized for each client and caregiver. She has a degree in early childhood education, a nurturing personality, and she loves to serve in a role where she can help others.
Rebecca Berry, RN
Rebecca has been working in health care for over 30 years, including several years working as a surgical nurse in a hospital setting. As such, she has a wealth of experience with various procedures and recovery processes our clients may face as they return home after surgery. She is an asset both for our clients at home recovering from a procedure and clients preparing for upcoming surgery.
Bre Carlson, LPN
Since joining our team in 2016, Bre has visited hundreds of clients across multiple counties. Her experience includes working as a school nurse as well home health and assisted living facility assignments. Bre’s attention to detail and nurturing manner make her a favorite with clients she sees.
Elane Fountain, LPN
Elane has been a nurse for over 40 years, with experience in hospitals, home health, hospice, long term care facilities and private care settings. She has a wealth of practical knowledge on geriatric care subjects, along with an infectious laugh and smile that she always shares with clients.
Rhonda Hutchins, LPN
Rhonda has over 30 years’ experience as a nurse, including work in long term care facilities and home care. She is a strong resource for our clients who may have rehab scheduled or are returning home from a rehab facility. Rhonda has a true passion for caring for the elderly, and she said if she could have any dream job it would be the one that she has now—caring for others.
Linda’s broad experience includes serving as vice president of a North Georgia acute care facility and director of business development for a 22-county primary health care provider. She currently serves on multiple area boards and committees for healthcare and economic development.
Ambassador of Joy
Sissy works to make our clients and caregivers feel recognized, appreciated and part of the Comfort Keepers family. She worked for us many years as a caregiver and is now semi-retired. Earlier in life she ran a veterinarian office. She loves animals and seniors—any interaction with Sissy will brighten your day!
Allie spent years in the hospitality industry in the U.S and overseas. Since becoming a Comfort Keeper she works to build strong working relationships with our community partners. With her infectious personality, Allie ensures we are good neighbors in the communities we serve.
Lisa relocated to Georgia from Texas and has over 15 years of experience in home care through a family business in the Lone Star State. She is patient and soft-spoken (with a Texas drawl) and enjoys finding the perfect match for staffing requests from our clients. She also ensures background checks, reference checks, drug testing, fingerprinting and health screenings take place for every new hire.
Emily started with us as a caregiver in 2015 and since then has worked in several office support roles, including scheduling, recruiting, compliance and training. Emily works to make our new-employee orientations FUN, and she loves to surprise her coworkers with special gifts and recognition.
Billing & Payroll Specialist
Theresa’s experience in Finance/Administration and Management spans decades. After working for several large employers, she is excited to work for a company that serves seniors. In her spare time Theresa enjoys cooking and spending time with family and grandchildren.
Long Term Care Specialist
For many clients, insurance filings and paperwork can be a burden. Morgan always has a bright smile and is willing to help. She specializes in getting answers to questions and solving problems with LTC insurance filings. Morgan can help turn a frustrating experience into an easy and painless process.
Credentials & Records Specialist
Lisa’s friendly voice is often the first one that callers hear when phoning Comfort Keepers. Since joining Comfort Keepers in 2013, she has been instrumental in keeping the office organized and running smoothly. Her empathy for the elderly and her strong attention to detail make her an essential part of our team.
Arguably Lauren is a "Jack" of all trades. She started with us as a caregiver in 2012, then worked with billing and payroll roles, and now she is a key technology trainer for our company. Our systems track caregiver arrival and departure via smart phone and Lauren’s work is helping us move closer to a digital future with less paper usage.
