Personalized In-Home Care

From personalized in-home and senior care to a conversation and helping with meals and mobility, our caregivers are here to lend a helping hand when needed. Providing home care services is our relationship more than just a job. Comfort Keepers caregivers can assist with meal prepping, hygiene, mobility assistance, transportation to doctor appointments, and companion care.

Bathing, Grooming, and Hygiene

Comfort Keepers® professionals aid senior clients in feeling good about their overall appearance through bathing, grooming, and hygiene help. Bathing cleanses the skin, refreshes the spirit, provides relaxation, and stimulates circulation. Our professional health aids at Comfort Keepers are trained to minimize any embarrassment or worry.

Feeding and Special Diet

Some clients need assistance feeding themselves, and losing independent eating can be difficult to accept. Comfort Keepers understand this worry and are particularly sensitive, making the extra effort that can turn mealtime into a more enjoyable social time. Comfort Keepers will also help guarantee that their clients stay on prescribed diets to prevent or control various health conditions.

Transferring and Positioning

Professionals at Comfort Keepers are trained to move clients in suitable postures and positions to promote health and well-being. Correct transferring and positioning into beds and chairs eliminates pressure areas on the skin, reduces muscle weakening and stiffening, and increases proper breathing, digestion, and elimination.

Toileting and Incontinence Care

Comfort Keepers home healthcare services work to encourage the client’s dignity and self-esteem as they assist with daily living activities. Through this caring approach, Comfort Keepers help lessen clients' worry about incontinence and the basic need for toileting help.

Mobility Assistance

Mobility supports seniors in maintaining active lifestyles for as long as possible when considering their ages, abilities, and overall health. The many physical health benefits of staying mobile include lowering blood pressure, improving digestion and sleep, increasing energy and stamina, and strengthening the heart. For example, Comfort Keepers' home health aides can accompany clients on short walks or provide reassurance and daily reminders to complete recommended exercises and movements.

In-Home Companionship

Comfort Keepers caregivers provide companion care and support to loved ones and seniors, from the conversation and sharing of a meal to providing meal preparation. Providing laundry assistance and light housekeeping assists seniors and loved ones with completing daily tasks with support and encouragement.

Conversation and Companionship

Our Comfort Keepers provide clients with companion care, for instance, through a simple conversation or sharing a meal. Companionship care enhances seniors’ health, happiness, and quality of life, which is the foundation of our in-home care.

Meal Preparation

Many seniors cannot shop for groceries or make well-balanced meals. Comfort Keepers can prepare hot, delicious, nutritious meals based on their client's preferences to help them get the proper nutrition they need. Clients may help with meal preparation as their abilities permit.

Our Comfort Keepers typically do clients' laundry at their homes or a laundry facility. They wash, dry, fold, iron, and put clothing away. Comfort Keepers professionals ensure that our client’s laundry is done according to their liking.

Light Housekeeping

Our light housekeeping services cover most domestic tasks. Often seniors can and want to join their caregivers in housework, which can help them feel useful and needed. These tasks include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchensPlease be advised that Comfort Keepers do not provide outdoor cleaning or maintenance services.

Grocery Shopping/Errands

Comfort Keepers will shop for groceries at the stores their clients prefer and run errands such as picking up prescriptions or going to the post office. Clients may choose to stay home or come along and help with shopping and errands as an excellent way to stay active and engaged.  Comfort Keepers will use any coupons provided.

Incidental Transportation

Our Comfort Keepers can provide incidental transportation for clients, allowing them the freedom to go shopping and attend other activities or get to medical appointments, the barbershop or beauty salon, and other places the senior chooses. Getting out and about is good for the senior’s mind, body, and spirit.

Medication Reminders

Although Comfort Keepers cannot administer medication, they can help ensure clients take their prescribed medicine. Our Comfort Keepers can assist with opening containers, reading labels, and prompting their clients when it is time to take the next dose of medication.

24-Hour Home Care

Depending on the client’s needs, Comfort Keepers can provide in-home care for a few hours a week or 24/7 full-time, in-home care. Through our 24-hour home care service, a team of Comfort Keepers coordinates caregiving responsibilities in shifts. This allows clients and their families to have peace of mind and be at ease.

We also offer 24-hour (round-the-clock) care, end-of-life care, Alzheimer's care, and dementia care.
