Elder Care in Hopatcong, New Jersey
Learn more about the professional senior home care to support independent living by Comfort Keepers® of Flemington, NJ.
While it is true that caregiving is a demanding and time-consuming responsibility, it is also important to keep in mind that taking care of a senior entails much more than performing tasks and domestic duties. Although help with activities of daily living does make your loved ones lives easier, it may not be enough to keep them truly happy.
By implementing Comfort Keepers® distinctive brand of home care, Interactive Caregiving™, seniors are empowered to take an active part in their own care. Our highly skilled caregivers provide support and encouragement to seniors, so they can engage in physical, mental, and social activities together. The result? Your loved one will enjoy greater independence and freedom in their daily lives. We still provide senior support services such as companion care, light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning, meal preparation, medication reminders and all personal care services to help ensure that your loved one’s exact needs are tended to. However, with our Interactive Caregiving™ approach, our professional caregivers transform day-to-day caregiving into opportunities for meaningful conversation and activities that engage and enrich the lives of seniors physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally.
Interactive Caregiving™ is focused around activities, both mental and physical. In order for clients to remain mentally active, we engage in conversation with them, work on puzzles together, play board games, and take part in activities that are enjoyable to them. In order to engage our clients physically, our local caregivers will take walks with them and travel to various locations around Sussex County, including the Hopatcong Senior Center.
Comfort Keepers® of Flemington, NJ has been providing elder care services to the families of Hopatcong and all of Sussex County since 2006. We believe there is nothing more important than helping people live independently, safely and happily in the comfort of their home. We work closely with families to customize a plan that provides the perfect balance of services. More importantly, we will treat your loved one with respect and dignity, as if they were a member of our own family.

About Hopatcong, NJ:
The borough of Hopatcong has a rich history, given its relationship with New York City. It borders Lake Hopatcong, a partially man-made lake that is now the biggest lake in New Jersey. The community, only 40 miles west of New York City, began as a summer getaway for the wealthy in New York City who primarily sought access to the lake. Lake Hopatcong’s run as a major northeast hotel resort lasted from the 1880s through the depression. Ultimately, the dreadful economy of the 1930s, the development of the automobile, which led people to seek more exotic destinations, and the onset of World War II led most of the Lake’s hotels to close. The few that survived slowly closed in the ensuing decades, with the final operating hotel burning to the ground in 1972. Today, Lake Hopatcong remains a unique and special place. It is one of the many gems in Sussex County.
