Our Story in La Mirada, CA, and the Surrounding Areas

In 2000, Andrew and Sheryl Labrada started the first Comfort Keepers franchise in California. Andrew and Sheryl both had parents who were dealing with health issues and needed normal day-to-day care, and inspired to find the best caregivers and care services for their loved ones, they decided to make it their business to do the same thing for others.

Andrew’s background was in Hospital Administration, so he brought a wealth of knowledge to the business about the health and caregiving industries. After Andrew’s death in December 2011, Sheryl took on a bigger role in the business and hired Aimee McAfee, an office manager who has become essential to the company. Sheryl, Aimee, and the rest of the staff have been working together to continuously provide high-quality care services to the La Mirada, Whittier, Long Beach, and Seal Beach communities. They hire the best caregivers and invest personally in their clients’ well-being and care plans because they know firsthand how important it is to give your loved one the happiest, healthiest life they can live.
