Celebrating the first annual National Day of Joy

Research has shown that sharing stories about the joyful moments in life has far greater benefits than just remembering these times or writing them down for ourselves. That’s why Comfort Keepers® created The National Day of Joy—a day that inspires others to find and share joy in everyday moments, no matter how big or small.

Celebrating the first annual National Day of Joy

Research has shown that sharing stories about the joyful moments in life has far greater benefits than just remembering these times or writing them down for ourselves. That’s why Comfort Keepers®created The National Day of Joy—a day that inspires others to find and share joy in everyday moments, no matter how big or small. Too often, the pursuit of joy is relegated to the background of people’s lives as they tackle their day-to-day responsibilities. But finding joy, no matter your age, is important for maintaining your physical health, mental health, and overall well-being.

Wednesday, June 26, 2019, marked the first annual National Day of Joy. For this inaugural event, thousands of people across the country joined our movement to celebrate the small moments of joy that make life an adventure. Using #DayOfJoy on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, they let us know about the joy they shared with friends and family that brought sunshine into their lives.

Scroll through some of the joyful moments from the first National Day of Joy and mark your calendars; the last Wednesday in June is a time for all of us to celebrate life’s joyful moments.
