Providing Care For Seniors in Alexandria, VA and the Surrounding Area

We are so grateful to have an amazing team that works to bring joy into our clients' lives every day! We wanted to celebrate this year's National Day of Joy by asking what brings them joy!

Your senior loved ones have worked hard to help you grow and become independent in life. However, there may come a time where you will have to help them foster their own independence. Taking on the task can be both rewarding and humbling, but require more time or expertise than originally planned.

Having a team of in home care professionals be part of your support group can help you to always be at your best, and make sure your loved one is maintaining their activities for daily living (ADL’s). At their most basic, this means their daily safety, personal care, housekeeping, companionship, and transportation needs are met.

Caregiver Bay Armstrong talks with memory care experts Toni Reinhart and Peggy Breda about the measures Comfort Keepers are taking to ensure the safety of our seniors and staff.

Our Services At A Glance

An in home caregiver from our agency can assist your loved one in a variety of ways. The services we provide can be incorporated into your loved ones care plan in a way that best suits them. In fact, all care plans are customized to our senior's needs and preferences. If they change, the plan can be adjusted to help them continue to meet their daily and overall goals.

You can arrange to have our team members visit you for as little as a few hours a week. For those with more extensive needs, there is also full-time weekly care or around-the-clock care. In home care plans can also be made for either the short-term, or long-term. We also offer a free care consultation to better learn your needs and describe how our service options can be applied.

If you have worried about your senior loved one living on their own, it might be time to consider care at home. Begin the process by taking a short survey to help you better understand when the time has come to pursue care options.

Private Duty Nursing Certified

While we are leaders in non-medical care, our agency also has a team of LPN's and RN's for seniors that require medical assistance while at home. These individuals can be sought out through our private duty nursing program, and are certified to complete a number of tasks to help your loved one manage their condition and thrive at home. They include:

-Medical equipment setup

-Medical equipment or device maintenance

-Vitals tracking

-The administering of medication

-Running various therapies

Real Peace Of Mind

Finding a caregiver that is licensed, certified, or has a credible background can be a long, grueling, and stressful process. You can rely on our agency to have done that for you. Through our strict vetting process, any who applied to be a member of our in home care team must pass a yearly personal background check, driving records check, and drug screening. They are also all provided training, regardless of experience, and are not allowed to start providing your loved ones care without being fully qualified to do so by our experts.

Along with making sure your loved one is in good hands, it is important to make sure the place they are residing is safe to do so. This is why our consultation includes a safety evaluation. The evaluation is conducted by one of our experts when they visit your loved one’s home. The goal is to identify any hazard areas (slippery floor rugs, clutter, hard to access items, loose railings) and to come up with a way to resolve them. The evaluation is put together in a report that is then emailed to the senior and any loved ones in charge of helping them work with our team.
