Every member of our Comfort Keepers home health providers and staff team is professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify the best home caregivers and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of home care and become home health providers. What truly sets our people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others.
All home health providers pass extensive background checks and complete continuing education. They are bonded, insured and covered by workers' compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.

Lisa Carson, RN, BSN
Certified Case Manager/Owner
Lisa is a Registered Nurse with a BSN from West Texas A&M University. She has 18 years of experience in home health care, starting as a field nurse and working her way to owning a home health agency. She also has 6 years of experience as a Certified Medical Case Manager for Workers Compensation.
With an aging parent and after working with older folks for 16 years, Lisa saw a growing need for a non-medical agency in this area. She and her husband, John Carson (who is an insurance agent/owner with Butler Carson Insurance), began looking for a solution for the problem. Lisa’s Mother saw a Comfort Keepers ad in the Dallas Morning News and called Lisa immediately.
In 2002, Lisa and John bought the franchise in Lubbock and opened the doors of Comfort Keepers #411 (the 1st non-medical agency in the area). For several years after opening in Lubbock, Lisa and John's best friends encouraged them to open a Comfort Keepers in San Angelo because her mom's health was declining. So in 2008, Lisa and John opened the doors to their 2nd location in San Angelo, which is the 1st non-medical franchise agency in the area. In the 12 years since, we have cared for and loved many of the citizens of Lubbock and San Angelo and the surrounding communities.

Office Manager
Mary Jo came to Comfort Keepers from an agency in Abilene with years of experience. She is a wonderful asset to our family.
Melissa Stapp
Client Care Coordinator
Melissa joined the Comfort Keepers team in 2018 bringing 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Melissa has wonderful daughters that keep her busy and a deep passion for helping the senior community. Melissa is the liaison between our caregivers and clients, and takes great pleasure in helping them create care plans that keeps them safe, happy, and most of all at home.

Dallas came to Comfort Keepers in May of 2021. She has 6+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry and is a proud mother of twin boys!
