At Home Senior Care & Interactive Caregiving™ in Knoxville, TN

We have a unique approach to at home senior care that can allow your loved one to live a healthy life

Our goal is to improve your loved one’s quality of life through at home senior care.  This means not only helping them with daily tasks but also encouraging healthy living habits.  Our team can help your loved one make nutritious meal choices as well as incorporate engaging activates such as fun games or exercises.  We call this approach Interactive Caregiving.

What Is Interactive Caregiving?

Our Interactive Caregiving philosophy is based on four primary pillars:

  1. A healthy mind through engagement

Cognitive degeneration is a common occurrence in seniors.  It can form in many ways such as normal memory loss, confusion, or the development of dementia-related diseases.  We can help seniors fight against these aging ailments through memory exercises, board games, reading current events, looking through photos so they can recall past events, and more.

  1. A healthy body through physical activity

Countless studies have shown that getting a certain amount of physical activity a day is beneficial for an individual of any age, but especially for seniors.  Keeping the body moving is an important part of at home senior care, and can help prevent a number of issues in such as arthritis or heart disease.  Caregivers can support your senior by driving them to the gym or park, accompanying them on a walk, joining them in exercises in home, or doing activities such as dancing or gardening.

  1. Nourishment through healthy eating and hydration

Diet can have a great impact on anyone’s health.  When you don’t get the nutrients you need you can become sluggish and not have the energy to move or think properly.  It can also lead to that famous state of being ‘hangry’ (angry due to hunger).  Our experts can help by going grocery shopping, prepping/preparing meals, and sharing mealtime with your senior.  They can also make sure they are sticking to any prescribed diet plans.

  1. Safety

One of the first steps in your loved ones at home senior care can eliminate hazards that can cause costly, and maybe even permanent, injuries.  We can perform a safety assessment through a free in-home consultation as well as install safety products.  Our safety products can ensure that your loved one is monitored as noninvasively as possible and that they get the emergency help with the need it.
