Celebrating the Joy in Every Moment
On June 25, 2025, our Southern Pines team celebrated the 7th Annual National Day of Joy—bringing laughter, kindness, and brownies to our community.
What Is the National Day of Joy?
The National Day of Joy is Comfort Keepers’ way of celebrating what makes life worth living. Each year, on the last Wednesday of June, we honor simple moments of happiness and recognize those who bring joy to others—clients, caregivers, staff, and community allies.
How We Celebrated in Southern Pines
The 7th annual National Day of Joy—a day dedicated to spreading happiness and recognizing the people who make a difference in our work: caregivers, clients, staff, referral partners, and community friends. Our Southern Pines, NC office staff, dressed as fairies and an elf, divided up in groups of two and visited clients and their caregivers. Alex Leith, our Client Director, made delicious brownies and we delivered them to both clients and caregivers to bring joy to their day! Clients and caregivers alike were surprised and glad that we visited to Elevate their Spirits.

Staff dressed in wings and tutus, split into groups, and delivered handmade brownies prepared by our Client Director, Alex Leith. The surprise visits brought huge smiles and emotional gratitude from clients and caregivers alike.
“It wasn’t just the brownies—it was knowing someone cared enough to show up just for me.”
