Cardiac Support Group

The Cardiac Support Group on meets  the first Tuesday of the month to discuss navigating the health care system when faced with a heart problem. The group meets in the Cardiac Rehab Department on the 4th floor of the Brooks Building starting at 7 p.m. Karen LaFond, RN, nurse manager cardiac rehab, will lead the discussion. Beacon Hospice is offering a caregiver’s group and educational series open and free to any type of caregiver. Chatham Council on Aging

Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Chatham County Council On Aging and the NC Cooperative Extension present Powerful Tools for Caregivers - an exceptional 6-week program that will give you the tools to reduce your physical, emotional and financial stress and balance your life while taking care of others. The program will be held on Tuesday afternoons beginning March 15th through April 19th from 3:30-5:00 pm. Enrollment is limited. There is no cost to the participant; however, donations will be accepted. Each participant will receive The Caregiver Handbook and refreshments will be provided.
