In Home Senior Care

Serving the Veterans and Seniors of March Air Base

Caregivers and family members in the region of the March Air Base in Southern California will be happy to know that their elderly family members can get professional, skilled help. If your elderly loved one is struggling with the tasks of daily living, our trained professionals are ready to help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing and dressing, assisting with light housework, and making transportation a little easier.

In addition to basic home care, our professionals are able to help with your veteran’s care. We are experience in working with the men and women who have served our country and have earned the right to age in place with dignity in their own home. If your elderly loved one is receiving care or support from the VA hospital system, we can provide all levels of assistance when they return home including assisting with rehabilitative programs.

Companionship, security and travel safety are critical challenges to our elderly loved ones trying to age in place. The famous highway system around the city of Los Angeles moves an awful lot of people around very successfully, but if your vision or your reflexes aren’t what they were, the act of driving can be an anxiety producing challenge and can put your loved one in severe danger.

Additionally, basic home projects such as laundry and cooking can move quickly from mundane to injurious. A laundry basket can pull an elder off balance, and pots and pans can get quite heavy and may tip, leading to injuries and fire hazards.

Finally, loneliness can be crushing to an elder who wants to stay at home - isolation is a very real risk as friends pass away and your senior is not able to go out and maintain a level of social contact. Social circles may shrink and fun activities become harder to find or attend. A qualified companion, who is knowledgeable of the area can make all the difference by being there to assist with transportation, stairs, and other challenges both in and out of the home.

Contact Comfort Keepers for an in-home interview. Let us know what care your loved one needs and be sure to note your concerns about changes in physical condition or cognitive activity. We are here to help keep your loved one safe and happy, and we’d be delighted to reduce your worries at the same time.
