Glen Bush

Caregiver

I was born in Monmouth, Illinois (Wyatt Earp's birthplace) and I attended Monmouth schools until my parents, sister and I moved to Wichita, Kansas. When my father was killed, we moved back to Monmouth where I graduated from high school. After working in Monmouth for a while, I moved to Moline, Illinois where I attended Blackhawk College and worked for a small food store chain. I have worked in the retail food industry for over 35 years, working for Kroger, Lucky Stores and two small chain stores.

In 1991 Judi and I moved to paradise (Lake Havasu City) where I ran my own business for ten years. I have worked in retail food, and also as a detention officer, sold securities, life insurance and I enjoyed every job. After I left the detention officer business, I joined Comfort Keepers and have found a job that really has true meaning. This job of being a caregiver is one that gives a feeling of self-worth, because I know that I am making a difference in someone's life and that is what makes this job so fulfilling!

Deborah Jones

Caregiver

Hi, my name is Deborah Jones. I am a Comfort Keeper’s Caregiver and have been for almost two years.

Before I became a caregiver, I served my country in the US Navy, and also became a mother and a wife. In 2001, I became a Certified Nurses Assistant, where I learned that it is important to many people to have someone in their life who is a caring, compassionate, and understanding person. I strive to excel in all those areas. I find it important to teach my children the same and by being a caregiver, I do. I am also able to teach them that just because we have holidays, doesn’t mean that our health has holidays, therefore we should be there for those in need, especially on those days.

In 2009, I graduated with an Associates of Science in Medical Assisting, earned a Certificate in Medical Coding and Billing, and a Certificate in Medical Assisting. I am also a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, as a leader and a merit badge counselor.

Jetta DeAnda

Caregiver

Jetta was born in San Diego, CA. She moved to Lake Havasu City in 1999 with her 3 children and husband who was a building contractor. Jetta worked hard with him in the business for several years building homes, but eventually they divorced.

Happily, a couple of years later, Jetta met the love of her life and re-married.   Jetta was looking for work and wanted a job that would "give back"When she learned about Comfort Keepers, she applied for a job as a caregiver. Jetta landed the job as a caregiver, and fortunately for Comfort Keepers and its clients, Jetta has been busy caring for clients ever since! As Jetta says, "helping people is a great feeling!"
