Our Story
Comfort Keepers of Seattle is proudly owned by John and April Luethe, dedicated to providing compassionate, high quality in-home care to families across the greater Seattle and Eastside area.
As longtime Fremont residents, John and April have deep roots in the Seattle community. John attended the University of Washington and has lived in the area since 1998, giving him a long-standing connection to the people and neighborhoods they serve. With their office located in Wallingford, they remain closely connected and responsive to clients and caregivers throughout Seattle.
Their journey into senior care is personal. After experiencing firsthand the challenges of caring for an aging parent, they recognized how important it is to have reliable, compassionate support. That experience led them to Comfort Keepers, where they found a mission that aligned with their own values, helping seniors remain independent, engaged, and comfortable in their own homes.
John leads the day-to-day operations, working closely with caregivers and families to ensure every client receives personalized, dependable care. Together, they are committed to providing the kind of support they would want for their own family.

About Comfort Keepers
Comfort Keepers was founded in 1998 by Kris Butler, a registered nurse who recognized that seniors often need more than medical care, they need companionship, connection, and support with everyday activities.
Today, Comfort Keepers has grown to serve communities around the world through independently owned and operated locations. While the organization has expanded globally, each local office remains deeply committed to providing personalized care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families.
