It is very easy to get to Center City, Philadelphia from Broomall. SEPTA provides bus transportation services from Broomall to West Philadelphia which meets up with the Market Frankford Line and provides a straight shot directly to City Hall.

The town was originally a crossroads community and was renamed to honor John Martin Broomall who was a 19th-century congressman. Broomall is home to the Thomas Massey House, a two-story brick and stone house that was originally constructed by the Quaker settler Thomas Massey in 1696. The house was given recognition in 1970 by being placed on the National Register of Historical Places, and is open for public tours.
