I have used Comfort Keepers for at least five or six years for my husband who has Alzheimer’s. He had a stroke and heart attack. The last thing I wanted to do was get caregivers because I thought I could do it myself. But it soon became apparent to me and my kids that I needed help. After a couple of more strokes, in order for me to keep my sanity, and to give myself a break, and as I call it, charge my batteries, we got Daniel Gates to come in and stay with Chuck. For the first couple years, it was only once a week so I could get out for about seven hours. But after several more strokes and his Alzheimer’s getting worse, it was obvious to me that I needed somebody every day. My caregivers, Daniel or Pattee, work every day from 9:30am until 1:30pm at which time my husband goes down for his nap. That gives me the opportunity to relax and get ready for the evening hours that I spend with my husband and put him to bed. It’s the best thing that I could ever do. These two are absolutely perfect! We have a routine that we do every day and that’s what my husband needs with his condition. Anytime I need a caregiver for extra time I just call Alex in the office and it is handled immediately. Alex is the best!! I’ve never have gotten a recording machine when I call the office. I always talked to a human. I recommend Comfort Keepers 100%. I feel this organization is very special. My family has been using Comfort Keepers of Orange for almost a year now and I recommend them highly! They are very professional and all of the caregivers have been wonderful. We have had several emergencies and they went over and above to help us when my Mom went in the hospital and care afterwards. We really don't know we would do without their service!

I cannot begin to list the qualities which have made (our Comfort Keeper) such an excellent caregiver and friend to our family... perhaps the most endearing characteristic is her sense of humor. She made my mom laugh and brought back Mom's sense of humor...She would cook anything she could think of in efforts to encourage Mom to eat... she treated Mom with such respect and dignity...
The Client Care Coordinator, Sue B., is very professional, kind and courteous. Caregiver Kim K. is fantastic as well and does just what needs to be done to help me out. Whatever you are doing to train your employees is great and I love your company. It can be a bit more expensive, but it is well worth it!

I’ve taken care of my mother for over six years, and now her dementia has progressed to the point that she can’t be left alone. I reached out to Comfort Keepers to help with her bathing and to stay with her once a week while I go grocery shopping and run errands. The 3 hours a week that I’m able to leave the house is like a vacation. Thank you! Your caregiver CG has been coming for several weeks now and she is an angel. Mother told me she looks forward to that nice lady coming to see her. CG is professional, compassionate, respectful and helpful. She is always punctual, helps Mother bathe and dress, fixes her lunch, and visits with her until I get home. Not only does she care for mother, but she does whatever needs to be done including emptying the trash, cleaning the kitchen after lunch and even helping me unload and put away the groceries when I get home. I feel confident leaving the house every week knowing that mother and my home are in good hands. Thank you so much for everything!

Just a note to thank you for your excellent service to my dad, Carl K. (and mom) while he was a resident at Davis House these past 7 months. Dad spoke very favorably of you, which was such a relief for me and my wife, especially living 300 miles away. I know he wasn't easy to transport, with his limited walking ability and potential to lose feeling in his legs. I found it especially pleasing that, even at such short notice, you were able to come to Davis House the last night of his life and be there to watch over him. My pastor would call that one of those "divine appointments", a meeting between people scheduled by God. Our responsibility is to just show up, which you did. Dad may not have been conscious or alert enough to know you were there, but we do, and we are grateful. Thank you. Connie and I wish you the best in the direction your life takes you.

I am happy to report that, due to her excellent care, she is recovering nicely... You certainly went above and beyond to provide great service and peace of mind.
This is the second time we have used Comfort Keepers to care for an elderly parent. Both times we have had positive experiences. If you're not happy with the caregiver they provide, for whatever reason, they will work with you to find a caregiver that meets your needs and expectations. We are currently releasing a weekday caregiver and a weekend caregiver, both of whom provided excellent care to our elderly mother. They have been with her for over two months following surgery. Releasing them is like losing a good friend. We will miss their daily help and interaction with our mother.
