Fremont, California Senior Care Services

Service Tailored to Meet Each Client’s Needs

Comfort Keepers offers families flexibility in senior care and in-home care, tailoring services to meet their specific needs. This can range from as few as four hours a week—to give family caregivers a respite—to full-time, 24-hour, in-home care. We partner with clients and their families to create just the right mix of services and the most service for their budget. And as a client’s circumstances change, we work with the family and client to adjust the care plan accordingly.

In addition to helping seniors maintain an independent lifestyle at home, we help other adults who need help as they recover at home from illnesses, surgery or injuries.

We also coordinate our services with other providers—such as home health agencies, hospice, nursing homes and assisted living—to offer clients a total senior care solution. For instance, we can help clients receiving rehabilitation transition from a nursing home or assisted living facility back to their own homes, serving the communities in and around Fremont, Castro Valley and Pleasanton.

Free In-home Assessment

Our Client Care Coordinator conducts a free in-home assessment with every client and family to make certain Comfort Keepers is a good fit for them. We work with the family and client to develop a care plan that will effectively maximize the client’s quality of life and independence while providing the family peace-of-mind that their loved one will be in good hands, receiving compassionate, expert care in the comfort of home.

Quality Care Is Our Goal

Once our caregivers—who we call Comfort Keepers—begin caring for a client, our Client Care Coordinator conducts regular quality visits at no extra charge. During these visits we make sure Comfort Keepers is meeting our clients’ and families’ expectations. At this time we look for suggestions from clients and families and make our own suggestions for improving the safety, well-being and satisfaction of our clients. At Comfort Keepers, we strive to provide only the highest quality of senior care.

Our Comfort Keepers® Make the Difference

Our Comfort Keepers—the special people we select to deliver our unique brand of in-home care—make the difference for our clients. In selecting Comfort Keepers we seek out people who are compassionate, sensitive to others’ needs, patient and experienced—as well as willing to learn.

To ensure our clients get only the best caregivers, we interview all candidates, once over the phone and twice in person. Candidates also complete orientation and pre-employment training. And once hired, our Comfort Keepers receive additional training and every year complete 12 hours of courses on topics such as mobility and ambulation, senior nutrition and Interactive Caregiving™—Comfort Keepers’ special brand of senior care that engages clients physically, mentally and socially for optimal quality of life.

For the safety of our clients and their families, Comfort Keepers candidates undergo extensive background checks (and they complete them twice a year after being hired). These include local and national criminal checks. Also for our clients’ and their families’ peace-of-mind, we bond and insure our Comfort Keepers and cover them with Workers’ compensation.

To further ensure dependable, responsive service, Comfort Keepers has an advanced scheduling and tracking system that notifies management each time a Comfort Keeper arrives at and departs from a client’s home.
