Kris Clum, who owns and operates the Englewood Comfort Keepers office, co-founded Comfort Keepers. She did so after discovering, as a registered nurse, that many of her patients needed help with the activities of daily living.

She also noted that their children, involved with work and family, weren’t always available to help out. Kris felt that with the assistance of a reliable, quality in-home care provider these individuals could continue living safely and independently in their own homes.

Since then, Comfort Keepers has successfully expanded to more than 550 locations across the U.S. and beyond—including the four Miami Valley/Greater Dayton area Comfort Keepers offices owned and operated by Kris.

To ensure that we hire only the best caregivers possible, all Comfort Keepers must pass a rigorous screening process that includes criminal background and motor vehicle record checks, random drug and alcohol screenings, and personal and business references. They also complete a thorough interview and testing process as well as extensive orientation, training, and professional development. And every year, Comfort Keepers complete continuing education and training to maintain and enhance their skills.
