In-Home Senior Care in Bridgewater, NJ
When Denise noticed her father, Robert, skipping meals and avoiding the stairs in his Bridgewater home, she felt the familiar pull so many adult children feel: worry, guilt, and the impossible question of how to help without taking away his independence. Robert had spent 40 years as a teacher, caring for generations of students. He still wanted to water his plants, watch the birds from his kitchen window, and enjoy Sunday dinner with his family. With support from Comfort Keepers, Robert’s days began to feel safer, brighter, and more connected. Denise could breathe again knowing he had help at home, and Robert could continue living with dignity in the place he loved most.

Locally Owned. Woman Operated. Community Focused.
Stephanie Howe, RN, owns six Comfort Keepers franchises throughout central New Jersey and began serving her first Clients in 2005. Her story is at the heart of our mission.
Stephanie’s passion for care began with her nursing background and her family’s personal experience with Multiple Sclerosis. Her father entered a long-term care facility at just 44 years old because there were few options available to help him remain at home. Stephanie saw firsthand how painful that decision was for her family and how deeply people want to preserve independence, dignity, and normal daily life.
When Stephanie was later diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis herself, her commitment became even stronger. She wanted other families to have choices her family did not have. That purpose led to the opening of the first Comfort Keepers location in Hamilton, NJ, in 2005 and continues to guide the way we serve families today.
For us, care is not just a service. It is personal. It is legacy work. We are more than a business. We are legacy builders, helping families build, protect, and complete their legacy by supporting the people who shaped their lives.

Serving Others Who Served Us
We are proud to support Veterans and their spouses through compassionate caregiving services, employment opportunities, and assistance navigating VA benefits. Many Veterans spent their lives protecting others, leading teams, raising families, and strengthening their communities. It is our honor to help them remain connected to the routines, people, and places that matter most.
Our team understands that accepting help can feel difficult for someone who has always been independent. That is why we approach Veterans Home Care with respect, patience, and gratitude. We focus on support that preserves dignity, encourages independence, and brings peace of mind to the entire family.
We Are a PocketRN GUIDE Provider
Comfort Keepers of Bridgewater is proud to be a PocketRN GUIDE Provider, helping families affected by dementia connect with additional nurse-led guidance, care coordination, education, and support.
For families caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, the journey can feel confusing and isolating. Having the right guidance can make each step feel less overwhelming. As part of our broader commitment to dementia care, our connection with PocketRN helps families feel more informed, supported, and less alone.
Community Care That Reaches Beyond the Home
Comfort Keepers of Bridgewater is more than a care provider. We are part of the community, and we believe giving back is one of the most meaningful ways to support the families and neighborhoods we serve.
We actively support local charities, schools, programs, organizations, and community initiatives. We believe in showing up for the people and places that make Bridgewater strong. Our commitment also includes scholarship support, community volunteering, donations, and a special discount for people living with Multiple Sclerosis, a cause deeply connected to Stephanie’s personal story and our company’s mission.
When families choose Comfort Keepers, they are choosing a team that believes care should ripple outward: from the Client, to the family, to the employee, to the community.

Senior Care at Home, Tailored to Your Loved One's Needs
The best care begins with listening. During a complimentary in-home consultation, we take time to understand your loved one’s daily routine, personality, preferences, care needs, family concerns, and long-term goals.
We want to know what makes your loved one smile. Is it coffee on the porch? A weekly trip to the store? A favorite recipe? A phone call with grandchildren? A quiet morning routine that should not be rushed?
From there, we create a personalized care plan that supports safety and comfort while preserving the familiar rhythms of home. Our care professionals are carefully matched to each Client, not only for skills and experience, but also for personality, trust, and relationship-building.
At Comfort Keepers, lasting relationships are at the center of everything we do.
