Comfort Keepers Owner Helps Families Navigate Long Term Care Decisions
Lezlie Snoozy-Kaitfors recently released a new book to help families in the aging journey
With more than 20 years of experience in the home care industry, entrepreneurship, business, and management, Lezlie Snoozy – the owner of three independently operated Comfort Keepers’ locations – has established herself as a leading authority on positive aging.
Lezlie started her first Comfort Keepers office in Black Hills back in the summer of 2003. In May of 2017, she branched out and purchased two additional Comfort Keepers locations, one in Tualatin, OR and another in Salem, OR. However, she developed the connection and fascination with senior care many years before, when she was a teenager. She grew up surrounded by grandparents, great aunts, and great uncles. In her teens, Lezlie began working in senior care and quickly became firmly motivated to change and redefine caregiving options for seniors after witnessing her father providing care for her grandmother.
Nowadays, Lezlie is passionate about changing the way we perceive aging, always finding ways to promote its positive aspects through education, innovation, and leadership. Her three home care and assisted living businesses have proudly served more than 3,000 aging adults and their families up to now. During this time, she witnessed many hardships and stresses of family caregivers who struggled to provide adequate support to their senior loved ones.
These invaluable experiences Lezlie gained in her line of expertise inspired her to write a new book about senior care, aptly named “Is It Time? - 3 Steps to a Successful Journey with Aging Loved Ones”. In her book, Lezlie details a flexible, three-part plan to help families and individuals successfully navigate long-term care and make positive choices regarding their elderly loved ones’ quality of life.
Through this heartfelt piece of non-fiction, readers can obtain a better understanding of the problems and choices most caregivers face when caring for a loved one. Masterfully penned from firsthand accounts and experiences she has gathered over the years, “Is It Time?” is an essential read for family and professional caregivers alike.
