Comfort Keepers first started servicing the Charleston area in 2001. David Coker purchased the franchise from the previous owner in 2019. David and his wife Julie married in 2000 and have three children. They opened their first Comfort Keepers office in Florence in 2003. David expanded services by opening Offices in Sumter in 2008, Columbia in 2013 and Charleston in March 2019. He graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 1997.

Non medical home care doesn't mean just staying at home. Our clients enjoy the beaches, going to the Battery, and even taking in a RiverDogs game at Riley Park. Charleston has so much to offer. Our Lowcountry healthcare system is also a great asset. MUSC, Roper, and the Charleston VA Hospital are located on the peninsula, and Trident and St. Francis hospitals are just a short drive from anywhere in the area.

Lowcountry churches and the senior center also have many programs and groups geared toward seniors and they actively seek out participation from the community.
