Bryn Mawr In-home Care Services
Bryn Mawr, Welsh for “big hill”, is a census-designated place located between Lower Merion Township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and Radnor and Haverford Townships in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Bryn Mawr falls along Philadelphia’s Main Line suburbs: affluent areas stretching from city limits to Malvern. Bryn Mawr is also home to Bryn Mawr College.
The area takes up 0.6 square miles of land and, as of 2010, had a population of 3,779 people. There are 1,404 households in the area. 41.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.7% of all households have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The town is located approximately 10 miles northwest of the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Through the Paoli/Thorndale Line and the Norristown High Speed Line, both of which run directly through Bryn Mawr, navigating into Philadelphia is a breeze.
In 1832, the Philadelphia & Columbia Railway created the Main Line railway between Philadelphia and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 1857 the Pennsylvania Railroad purchased the Main Line railway and all of the land that bounded the tracks. Until 1869, Bryn Mawr was known as Humphreyville. Joseph Lesley, who was secretary of the Pennsylvania Railroad at the time, chose new names for the stations that were running along the Main Line railway. He opted for Bryn Mawr, as opposed to Humphreyville, in honor of Rowland Ellis’ homestead.

Bryn Mawr Senior Caregivers
I was very unsure about who and when someone would be able to take care of my sick grandmother because the times she did not have one of our family members to watch her all varied a lot. However, we got very lucky that Comfort Keepers was able to help us out with getting a caregiver who could work the odd hours of the day.
