Documents that need to be presented and/or submitted to the VA include proof of service and an honorable discharge (service needs to be at least ninety days on active duty, one day of which was during a period of war), marriage and/or divorce papers, social security numbers, and personal finance records. The senior must also be able to show a documented physical need for non-medical seniorcare services.

Seniors who qualify for veteran’s care can have some or all their in-home care expenses covered. This may include housekeeping and laundry support, meal preparation, and local transportation. I can also cover personal care and other long-term care services. The type, amount, and length of care are dependent upon individual circumstances.
